ROME AND SORRENTO TOUR
Day 1 Arrival in Rome
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Rome .
Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Ancient Rome Tour
A fascinating private half day tour of the wonders of the Ancient Romans.
You will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the
Roman legions, as together with your private local guide you will
visit, the Circus Maximus, site of Ben Hur style races, the Roman forum,
and the incomparable Colosseum.
Afternoon free for independent activities.
Day 3 vatican Museums
Your fascinating half day private tour of the Vatican starts in the galleries
of the Vatican museum home to the most celebrated art collection
in Europe. The museum tour ends in the spectacular Sistine
Chapel, the extreme expression of Michelangelo’s genius. Last but not
least, you will visit the largest sanctuary of Christianity, St. Peter’s
Basilica, where proportions appear to have been forgotten in an amazing
triumph of marble, bronze and mosaic works.
Day 4 Montecassino and pompei
After breakfast we take a full day tour to Sorrento with stops at Montecassino,
Pompeii and Vesuvius. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Sorrento.
Day 5 Amalfi Coast
A private full-day excursion along the breathtaking Amalfi Coastline
with your driver is sure to be a highlight to remember. You will make
stops in three of the delightful towns nestled in its bays: Positano, an elegant
and colorful town with a history of attracting celebrities and artists;
Amalfi, a picturesque seaside resort that is also the largest town on the
coast; and Ravello, the highest town on the coast where the photo opportunities
are unmatchable. Return you to the hotel in Sorrento.
Day 6 Capri
Full day excursion to Capri to visit the famous island that attracts
many international visitors and many Vips. In the afternoon return
to Sorrento. Dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 7
After breakfast, transfer to Rome airport for your return flight.
Day 1 Arrival in RomeOn arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel
NORTHERN ITALY TOUR
Day 1 Bergamo and Mantova
Arrival in Bergamo. Guided walk through the high part of the city and
bus tour through the lower part. Transfer to the city of Mantova, the
city to which Romeo fled when banned from Verona. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Mantova
Breakfast at the hotel. Guide tour of the city of Mantova including the
visit to the church of Sant’Andrea at Piazza Mantegna, the cathedral at
Piazza Sordello and Palazzo Ducale the afternoon is at your disposal to
discover this fascinating town on your own. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Ravenna
Breakfast at the hotel. You will drive to Ravenna and have a guided tour
of the city including the mausoleum of the Empress Galla Placida, Basilca
San Vitale, Neonianic Baptistery, Arianic Baptistry and the mausoleum
of Teodorico. In the afternoon you visit the famous churches St Apollinare
Nuovo and St. Apollinare in Classe. Return to Mantova. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 Modena and the “Aceto Balsamico”
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards you will visit the city of Modena and
its surroundings. You will enjoy a guided tour of the old city seeing
the cathedral built in Romanic style, Piazza Grande and Ghirlandina,
Palazzo Comunale and the Pinacoteca Estense. Visit of the market
Albinelli – a historic market built in Liberty style. In the afternoon you
will visit a vinegar factory and see how the traditional „Aceto Balsamico“
is prepared. Dinner at a farm house. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 Ferrara
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will visit the city of Ferrara,
which belonged to the Pope until 1598. Halfday guided tour through
the medieval city seeing the 'Castello Estense', Palazzo Ducale,
the Cathedral, Loggia dei Mercanti and the historic city center, including
a walk through small picturesque street of the former ghetto. In
the afternoon you can visit Pinacoteca Nazionale on your own. Afterwards
you will leave for Finale Emilia and visit the beautiful citycenter.
Dinner in a farm house on the way back to Mantova. Return to
the hotel and overnight.
Day 6 parma
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will visit to enchanting small towns
close to Parma famous for their beautiful old towns. Guided tour
through the old part of the city including the cathedral, the Palazzo
Ducale, Baptistery and the theatre. In the afternoon you will visit a winery
where you will enjoy a wine, cheese and „prosciutto“ -ham tasting.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Lake Garda
Breakfast in hotel. The whole day in excursion at Lake Garda. Morning
dedicated to the visit of “Isola del Garda” the largest island of lake
Garda, a place of rare beauty, bursting with history, memories and legends.
Followed by visit of Sirmione and its roman ruins. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8
After breakfast, transfer to Bergamo airport for your return flight.
